Visit to Stearn’s Farm: On Friday, we had our first kindergarten field trip. We began the trip by sight seeing two historical houses built over 150 years ago. The children made many comparisons about these houses and their own homes. The most exciting part of the trip was feeding and petting the animals. We saw
OPEN HOUSE!!! You are all invited to the kindergarten open house on Wednesday September 29, at 5pm. We have been super busy in our kindergarten classroom! This week, we made a classroom book called We Can Play, we began reading a chapter book together, had gym class, started our math unit on attributes, had computer class with Mr. Jeff, and worked very hard at Literacy Work Stations.
Our first full week of school has been wonderful! We created our classroom rules and jobs. Students have been learning each others names, and working cooperatively within a group. We have been doing a lot of work with letter name recognition and letter sounds. We even did a whole class art lesson.
