Its hard to believe that it is already April! Spring has finally arrived and we have enjoyed a few days of sunshine already. We have been hard at work in the classroom learning all about the farm and creating music. During our farm week the children enjoyed a very special visit from Hannah Foor’s pony, Jellybean. A special thank you goes out to her mother, Stacie Foor who brought in Jellybean and provided very helpful information. We just finished our music week and the children had such a blast creating, dancing, listening, painting and singing to music. Our favorite story from the week was Giraffes Cant Dance. It is a story about a giraffe who wanted to dance but wasn’t very good so the other animals made fun of him only to find that in the end he just needed to find his own special kind of music. The children were especially captivated with this story.
We have a few upcoming events to share with you. Be sure to mark your calendars. Our all school field trip to The Lake Erie Nature and Science Center in Bay Village will be on April 22. Permission slips were sent home on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Doughnuts with Dad will be on April 28th and 29th from 11:00-11:45 and Muffins with Mom will be on May 5th and 6th from 11:00-11:45. Please be sure to join us for these special days in the classroom.
